My New Guitar!

Hello everyone,

It`s James teacher here again. How are y`all doing? It`s getting chillier by the day, isn`t it? Soon, it will be sweater season, which is nice because I like to wear sweaters and hoodies (hooded sweatshirts)! However, in a few months a sweater won`t be enough! If we want to stay warm, we will need to wear a jacket as well!

Do you like cold weather? I don`t like it too much, honestly. In Texas, it doesn`t get very cold during the winter. Actually Texas weather is very strange; sometimes during winter you can only wear only a t-shirt and you will be fine. However on other days, it gets pretty cold and you need a jacket in order to stay warm. Isn`t it strange to wear a t-shirt one day and a down jacket on the next? I sure think so.

Anyway, on to this weeks topic: guitars!!! As you may have already read, last week I did a post on my favorite guitar! Well, since then I actually bought another beautiful guitar! It is very similar to the one I was talking about last week, but the wood and paint are a bit different, as well as the shape of the neck and the sound! Actually, I think it even sounds better than my older one! Here`s a picture of it:

Guitars!!

Hello everyone,

It`s James teacher here again! How are y`all doing?

Compared to a couple of weeks ago, the weather is really starting to change, isn`t it? It seems like Autumn is on the way!! It`s going to be getting colder and colder until before you know it, it`ll be Winter! My recommendation is that you enjoy this nice weather as much as you can, especially before it gets too cold to do anything outside!

However, if you do find yourself with nothing to do, I have a great recommendation for you: learn a musical instrument! In my opinion, there is nothing more fun and rewarding than playing a musical instrument. And if you REALLY want to have fun, I suggest that you learn my personal favorite instrument, the guitar!

I have loved guitars, and rock music for that matter, for many years now, although I only started practicing seriously about a year and a half ago. You see, my grandfather was a professional jazz guitarist for many years, and he gave me some very nice guitars. Actually, they were so nice that I didn`t want to play them! So, I bought my own! It's AUTUMN!

Hello to all you Kitty Blog readers out there!

It's been a long time since I last had the time to post anything here hasn't it. They've been keeping me busy in the office

So, it is now September. And I believe that makes it officially the beginning of Autumn! No more humid summer heat? Well I am looking forward to the weather getting colder. In Australia, I was born in Winter (although in Australia it doesn't get that cold...) so maybe that's why I like colder weather. Anyway...with the colder weather, we also have the leaves on the trees turning my favourite colour! RED! I am really really looking forward to that.

Summer holidays. Did everyone have a good rest? I have heard stories from many of my students of their travels overseas. Some people went to Hawaii......some went to Guam...and one even went to Africa! I have yet to visit any of these places but I look forward to going there in the future.

Well, for my Summer holidays, I went to my favourite place in the whole world at the moment. Every day! Where is that? you ask? Why, it's the kickboxing gym of course! Every single day of my holidays was spent kickboxing with the friendly people at my local gym. And I also went to watch my gym leader's professional fight in Korakuen Hall! It was so fun to watch. I also went to watch one of my own instructors fight! It was so exciting. I'm glad I joined the gym!!

So that was my holiday. Maybe not so restful, but very exhilirating and I have some back to Kitty with lots of energy!

My Summer Vacation + Mexican Food!

Hello everyone,

It`s James teacher here again writing on behalf of Kitty Club. How are y`all doing? Did y`all have a relaxing and rejuvenating summer vacation? I sure did!

In fact, I went back to my home state of Texas in the United States of America. While I was there I had a wonderful time seeing my family, my friends, and of course my many pets, including: my seven cats, three dogs, four horses, and one chicken!

However, the thing I enjoyed most was eating lots of delicious food, especially Mexican food! Have y`all ever had Mexican food? Chances are, you probably have eaten it at least one time in some form or another. The most famous (and in my opinion delicious) Mexican food is tacos, which are either fried or baked tortillas filled with many different ingredients, including: ground beef, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatos, and occasionally avocados and sour cream.

Here is a picture of some tacos! They look delicious don`t they?

While there are way too many Mexican dishes to list in this short blog post, I suggest that you at least try one of the following: enchiladas, burritos, or fajitas. I promise you that you won`t be dissapointed!

Happy Birthday Demon and Jacqueline!!!

Hi guys,

Natasha here! For those that don`t know me, I`m fairly new here at Kitty club. I`ve been here nearly 2 months now and so far I`m having such a good time!

It`s my first time in Japan and everyone has been so nice to me and made me feel so welcome. Kitty is a really fun place to work and I hope I can stay here for a long time and get to know you all a lot better.

Anyway, guess what?! I was in the Kakinoki-Zaka area today so I popped into Kitty Club and...lucky me, I arrived just in time for Demon and Jacqueline`s Birthday celebrations! Summer emerged from the kitchen with a yummy cholocate cake and we all sang Happy Birthday and filled our tummies with the yummiest cake in the world!

I hope both of the girls have great Birthdays and wish them both a happy year!

Sorry got to go, I`ve got a class in Jiyugaoka and I don`t want to be late!

Strawberry Fields (or possibly cherry trees) Forever IV

Hey there readers of the Kitty Blog.

It's me again...the Strawberry loving, sakuranbo eating Jacqueline (*´σｰ｀) Yes. That's right. Sakuranbo! They are so very very delicious. I just bought a pack of sakuranbo cherries yesterday but I don't want to eat them because then I'll have less cherries. And then eventually I'll have no cherries. And that will be a sad thing indeed (つд⊂)ｴｰﾝ

So I heard from various sources that the udon event was a success. Did everyone walk on udon? Did you remember to take off your shoes and wash your feet first? (*ﾟ▽ﾟ)ﾉ If so, then I'm sure you had some delicious udon. If not, then I'm sure you created a new udon flavour. Both are good things. I wonder which it was. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos!!

Well that's it from me today. Good luck on the JAPEC tests and such things!

Strawberry Fields Forever

Hello! It's Jacqueline here!

I just started working at Kitty Club again after leaving Japan for about one year.

I'm from Australia, but my parents are both from the Philippines so I probably don't look like how most people would expect an Australian to look like. I like strawberries, cherries, mangoes, strawbrries, the colour red, Totoro, strawberries, Makkuro-kurosuke, bagels with blueberry cream cheese, and strawberries.

Last week I had my first try at the Kitty Club Buggy...

(I'm not in this picture)

It was quite an experience. I believe it will help me build some nice muscles in my arms and that is something I'm looking forward to (^-^)/

When I taught the Saturday afternoon/evening class at Futako Tamagawa, I was surprised and very happy to find that some of the students I had previously taught were still around. I wonder if any of them remembered me... (-.-) ...possibly, from the happy faces of a few of them, they did indeed remember me and hopefully thought it was great that I'm back! (^-^)

Well, that's all from me right now. I hope for some good weather for trips to the park on Mondays, and for some nice fresh strawberries at the supermarket on my way home today.

Hello everyone, Mike here!

It is a very nice day today. It's sunny, hurray!
My little girl, Myra Lyn, visited Kitty Club on Saturday morning.
She met some staff here and got to see some of Sean sensei's class.
It was smiles all around and we had lots of fun. Thank you!!

Well, this month's curriculum in the Step Up classes is a lot of fun.
We're off to the park, using a very big flash card where we get to
stick on lots of pictures - e.g. a slide / some swings / a seesaw

What is your favourite thing in the park?

花嫁さんは、デーモン先生と同じく秋にご出産予定だそうです。
とにかく２人とも幸せそうでした。
花嫁さんを見たいといっていた、３才の女の子の生徒さんに早く写真を見せてあげたいです！
ケーキもふわふわで美味しかったなあ〜

寄せ書きを書いてくれたみんな、ミッチェル先生本当に嬉しそうだったよ♪
本当にありがとう。みんなのやさしさがバッチリ伝わっていますよ。

Pizza Party!

Hello!

Here at Kitty Club we like to enjoy ourselves from time to time, so last Friday the head office in Kakinoki was host to a pizza party! Most of the staff came along to eat their share of the food. Some more than others, mentioning no names; “Mike Sensei” 10 pieces!

The pizzas chosen on the day were Teriyaki Chicken, Pepperoni and Curry flavoured. Satoko Sensei also brought along some home-made tiramisu for dessert. The official opinion was that it was:

なんとデーモン先生がご懐妊です。

出産予定は秋頃だそうです。少しだけおなかのふくらみがありますね♪
妊婦でも人の３倍くらい働いています！！すごいなあ～～。

赤ちゃんができてからは、周りのスタッフ特にマイク先生とミッチェル先生がとっても優しくなったそうですよ。
さすがジェントルマン！！

今日はデーモン先生の誕生日でもあります。「おめでとうございますー！！」

今日は突然雨が降ったと思ったら、晴れましたね。

今日は、先月のことですが、Mr.M（キティクラブの代表です）の誕生日の様子をご紹介いたします。
ディーモン先生がこっそり、ケーキを準備してくれたそうです。
プレート部分にご注目ください。
名前を聞かれて、注文するときにとまどったそうです。
「社長さんでもくんでも変だし・・・社長でおねがいします。」
（まだこのときはＭｒ．Ｍというニックネームが無かったんですね。）
長年働いていて、こんなに優しく祝ってもらったのは初めて！と、Ｍｒ．Ｍも感激の様子でした。
